Music is an important share of my life. I listen to Christian music most waking hours – it enriches my life and is an expression of my love for God. I am especially “passionate” about praise and worship music – the kind of music that lifts up the Name of Jesus and in worship and praise to God.
Everyone has their own eclectic taste in music, and it’s hard to find someone who has the exact same taste, as I have discovered. Most of what I listen to is Praise and Worship music, but I tend to lean towards more modern aka contemporary sounds, than I am the old hymn type that I grew up with. I love all the new songs that find ways Christian artists express fresh ideas about God, but based on His Word. I guess I am “fussy” cause I listen to the words and often get the lyrics off the net before I “fall in love” with a song. A lot of Christian music is not real Scriptural and that bugs me
I started this page just for songs that I really like that I have found on youtube.com. There are a couple that I couldn’t find that are my all time favorites. Maybe someday I will figure out how to download/upload songs and then put them on youtube myself. Sounds way too techy for this blondie, though! – hehe
Lots of songs —– Please scroll down and enjoy! ![]()

My Second favorite song of all time is based on Psalm 63 which is my favorite Psalm. I never get tired of hearing how Russ sings it, as it really touches my soul in adoration and honor of God.

As I was listening to the radio today, I heard a song that was new to me. To my delight, there were a couple of youtube videos uploaded – yea! It’s a cool song – love the words and the beat. I am dedicating this song to my friend Rich – stay strong, my friend.

Casting Crowns has an interesting scope on ministry – out of the ordinary for most Christian artists. Their songs impress upon one’s heart to reach out to the lost, lonely, and needy with the Gospel. To be the hands and feet of Jesus – it’s the least we can do.
Matthew 25:34 Then shall the King say to them on his right hand, Come, you blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 For I was an hungered, and you gave me meat: I was thirsty, and you gave me drink: I was a stranger, and you took me in: 36 Naked, and you clothed me: I was sick, and you visited me: I was in prison, and you came to me.

There are times when a song hits you deeply in praise and worship of His Majesty, the Kind of kings and Lord of lords.

I love interesting and unique videos and this roughly done video fits the beauty and simplicity of one of my favorite songs. When Jeremy released it, I was thrilled with his presentation – just a quiet, worshipful, heart filled sung song that expressed love for Jesus from the depths of your soul. Combined with the video – it’s just plain cool

This is an older selection, but a wonderful song of confidence in and surrender to God. I hear it on the radio every now and then which brings so many memories to my heart as I recall all the time that God has been my Provider, My Bright and Morning Star.

One of Chris Tomlin’s most beautiful songs on his new album, “Hello Love” is “I Will Rise”. We all face sorrow and pain in this life, but some day we will rise and be with the Lord for all eternity. Worthy is the Lamb!

A couple of Dove Award favorites of mine. They are the kind of songs you just never get tired of listening to. Nicole won song of the year in 2001 for “Redeemer” and Chris won worship song of the year in 2006 for “How Great is Our God”.

Four years ago this week my brother took his own life. It was a tragic and desolate time. Such sorrow in our hearts for a man who knew the way to Christ, but refused Him. Yet in those dark hours of questions and grief, God granted mercy in peace and comfort. I first heard this song about that same time [God provides music in such awesome ways!]. At my brother’s memorial service, I had the opportunity to say a few words about him and at the end I read the lyrics to this song. No matter what life brings, may God be praised …

Chris Tomlin is one of my favorite worship leaders, so you will find several selections of his as I add songs that I find on youtube.com
This song is particularly meaningful as it is a constant reminder of God’s grace, especially those times that I wandered away from truth. Finally, after several years, God released me from captivity – He broke the chains and set me free.
One other note – this song was written for the movie by the same title “Amazing Grace” that was released a couple of years ago. Based on the true story of a young lawyer [William Wilberforce] as he struggles for many years to pursuade England’s congress to stop the slave ships. He was influenced by John Newton who wrote the hymn, “Amazing Grace”. Here is a biographical history of John Newton:

I love this video, because of the old piano that Chris plays in the woods while it’s raining. The cameo splits are from the movie – if you get a chance to see it – it’s worth the time. Please note the words engraved into the piano that are highlighted throughout the song.
Be Blessed:

A song with a little bit different slant, but one that makes you think about what we are supposed to be doing. Sometimes I wonder at all the effort that goes into how one practices their religion, but forgets that Jesus told us to reach out in love to others – and that my friends – is the bottom line.

Hi Sheep
Just discovered your music page – love your choices – gonna listen to some of these later. I too love Chris Tomlin’s song “I will Arise” and agree with you that alot of Christian music is not scripitural.
I upload unto Youtube so you know where to come to for some tips.

Thanx for the comments. I love music too, as long as God is glorified. Far too much “Christian” music is about us, instead of Him, so I am always on the lookout for the “good stuff”!
Blessings!
