This blog is not so much about me as it is about truth as it concerns belief in God and His written Word. For some, this truth is relevant to what they experience. For others, it’s what they learn by association with a specific group or from teachers, leaders, etc. Having dabbled for a good share of time in experiences and by associations with others who perceived them selves to be teachers, I found myself lost and entrapped in error.
But for the grace of God, I would still be there. Jesus told this parable, which is a picture of how He found me lost and stumbling, and far from His truth:
Matthew 18:12 How think you? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, does he not leave the ninety and nine, and goes into the mountains, and seeks that which is gone astray? 13 And if so be that he find it, truly I say to you, he rejoices more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray.
Paul spoke of it this way:
1 Timothy 1:19 Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck.
